Here are some recent photos of woodworking projects I’ve completed in the last three-four months. Cradle is solid oak with walnut spindles. The Adirondack chairs are made of poplar and have a total of 6 coats of finish on them for weather resistance.

Cradle made of Oak with Walnut spindles. Total start to finish time was about 40 hours. Cradle rocks and has a built-in music box.

Here’s the latest project. Adirondack chairs and table. Used Poplar to build them, even though Poplar is not normally used as an outdoor wood that weathers very well. After 2 coats of primer, 2 coats of base white paint, two coats of their primary color and 2 final coats of UV protectant Varnish they should stand up to outside weather for awhile.

Here’s what they looked like before any finish work started.
