Right click on the start button. Choose Explore. This will bring up the Explorer in the start menu folder and you can customize which items will apprear.
Arrange open windows or minimize all open windows
Right click on an unused portion of the taskbar. To arrange open windows choose one of the tile or cascade commands. Right click on the taskbar again and choose "Undo" if you don't like the arrangement.
To minimize all open windows, right click on the taskbar and choose "Minimize all windows." Right click on the taskbar again and choose "Undo minimize all" to restroe the minimized windows.
Display the mixer
Double click on the speaker icon on the right side of the taskbar.
Display the date/time control panel
Double click on the clock icon on the right side of the taskbar.
Display the date and day of the week
Hold the cursor over the time display on the right side of the taskbar until the tooltip appears.
Display the Display control panel
Right click on the desktop, then choose properties.
Display the system control panel
Right click on the My Computer icon, then choose properties.
Display the Network control panel
Right click on the Network Neighborhood icon, then choose properties.
Display an object's property sheet
Press [alt] then double click on the object's icon
Erase a file rather than sending it to the Recycle Bin
Hold down the [shift] key when you drop it on the Recycle Bin icon
Quickly return to a previous directory
Choose "Go To" form the tools menu and click on the drop-down list button.
Copy a file into another directory on the same drive
Hold [ctrl] when you drop.
Move a file from one disk to another
Hold [shift] when you drop
