The hazard at Knob Camp is being directly across the lake from the glaciers. If there is a wind, lots of big icebergs are blown onto the beach, trapping the boats. Also, tsunamis are created when large berg calve off the glaciers. You could constantly hear the sound of calving icebergs all day and all night. The icebergs last longer here in a freshwater lake.
